Live Longer – Don’t Text and Drive!

April 19, 2013 By: Erin Howard

As a Mom and Parent I am a born worrier, it is just in our nature after having children to gain the worrying gene I think. Though I am sure I worry more than most. As cell phones started migrating to smart phones I even noticed my husband and some family members beginning to Text more and more even caught some of them doing it while driving. About 2 years ago I watched an Oprah show talking about texting and driving and they had put kids ( teens) and adults behind the wheel on a flat course with perfect conditions and had them drive this course to see if they could text and drive safely as many of them swore up and down they could. As you can imagine they all failed horribly and at slower speeds.

So many people just do not think about even their own safety let alone the safety of the people around them. No one I know texts and drives around me without hearing it…LOL… So check out this great inforgraphic by Online Schools and share the message DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE!
