“Mom, I don’t like broccoli!” I know you don’t honey, but if you want to be like that super hero, then you have too. Don’t you want that special super power? I have had to get pretty creative being a mother of two. My five year old Cohen who I’m sure is going to be a lawyer someday, because he negotiates everything, especially when it comes to his veggies. My daughter Grace on the other hand will eat just about any vegetable I put in front her. I feel like I had a better understanding with my daughter on how to make this possible. I pretty much didn’t give her a choice. I introduced more veggies than any other food. Here are some tricks I have done to get this healthy habit in our lives.
-Get one bunch of parsley (one bunch goes a long way) and cut heads of parsley with kitchen scissors. Add this to any dish. Your kids will not even taste it but they will see it. Get creative because they will say “what is this green stuff?”
-It’s easy to add Kale or spinach to your smoothies
-You can use dips to your advantage. I use hummus or sweet dressing to dip veggies in.
The real super hero is you, the mom! Have fun and get creative!
